when it comes to shock protection.
Skid-MateŽ cushions are air-damped cushioning devices that easily mount
on pallet bases  instead of wood skid runners, and they provide extraordinary
protection against shock and vibration. Skid-Mate+Plus™ is the same
pallet cushion plus a rugged polyethylene spacer disc. This extra height
in the cushioning device allows your palletized loads to accept most
pallet
jacks worldwide.
With a combination of Skid-MateŽ and Skid-Mate+Plus™ shock-protection
cushions, your pallet dampening, handling, shipping, and warehousing worries
are minimized. Plus, these pallet cushioning devices are incredibly cost-effective
and durable. They accommodate any loads: specialty and customized pallets,
heavy duty pallet loads, fabricated pallets, etc. The air-damped cushioning
technology allows you to stack any type of industrial, commercial, or
military load without fear. With especially heavy or sensitive pallet

Easy to Mount. Both Skid-MateŽ and Skid-Mate+Plus™ air-damped
cushioning devices are easily attached to a pallet base with a 5/16"-18
UNC bolt and our standard T-nut.
Durable. At maximum load, Skid-MateŽ cushions can endure sliding
over 3,000 feet (914 meters) of concrete floor and floor joints.
Shock-Protection. Correctly loaded Skid-MateŽ pallet cushions
transmit only a 15 G shock when rotationally dropped from 24 inches
(610 mm).
High/Low Temperature Storage. Skid-MateŽ cushions are suitable
for storage at –40° F to +130° F (-40° C to +54° C).
Chemical and Solvent Resistance. Skid-MateŽ cushions are made
of polyethylene, a chemically inert material. Load Range. Skid-MateŽ
cushioning devices come in five varieties, color-coded to indicate load
characteristics:
- Tan 20-35 lb.

Easy-On
Skid-MateŽ and Skid-Mate+Plus™ pallet cushions are simple and
easy to attach. With most applications, you just drill holes in the pallets
to accommodate the standard 5/16" bolts that screw into the cushion
centers. When using a Skid-MateŽ without a T-nut, you may prefer to use
3/8" hex bolt with a couple of flat washers and a lock nut. Last-minute
add-on applications are often handled with lag screws, and you can use
a carriage bolt to "sandwich" the cushioning devices with a
bottom pallet cross slat on the bottom.
